I believe politics matter. I believe the people we choose to represent US matter. Whether it’s at the local level, at the state level, or on the national stage. The people we choose to represent US matter almost more than the politics of their political party.
We cast our vote.
They represent US
It’s a fairly simple formula
That being said, I also believe that voters should have an idea of who we entrust with the privilege of representing US. I believe we all should at least have a general understanding of the people we elect. Not as a Democrat or a Republican but as a human being. Politics and America are more complex than selecting between 1 or 2 political parties. Those who are elected should be forthcoming with their constituents. It’s called transparency.
An inside look
My greatest campaign promise
I hope to attain this from all of my writing, tweeting, meetings, and public appearances. By being transparent I will allow any potential voter in Indiana to know what makes me, me.

What I believe. What I think I can do. Most importantly, through our conversations I want to know what we want our representative to do while in office. I want to join the conversation that moves Indiana forward for those of us living today, but more importantly for those who will follow US.

There is no getting away from the simple fact that politics matter to all of us. Even if you don’t vote. They effect you. Whether you live in the most remote places of this country, on a farm, in a small town, in suburbia, or within the city limits of our many metropolitan areas. In the hills and hollers. On the beach, intercoastal, or the swamps. Along the rivers and creeks. Down a dirt, gravel, or a paved road. Off an interstate or state highway. After a stop sign, stop light, or a roundabout. Politics affect many aspects of our day to day life. It should be a hand up, not a hand out. It should open and honest, not repressive, unfair and a mystery.
Government should be US
I want to be apart of the conversations that moves Indiana and America forward. I’ve said it before and I will continue to say it. I honestly do not believe there is another person in this state that can represent Indiana better than me.
Thanks for reading.
