If you are a resident of this fine state, you’ll never spend a better seven dollars in* than the seven you spend for admittance into the Indiana Dunes National Park.

The National Lakeshore of my youth. Officially decreed a National Park earlier this year. Whatever that means to you. It’s still 15 miles of some of the greatest shorelines in the country.

My family and I have our own preferred spots. Give it a shot. You won’t regret it. Beach or along the trails.

Just make sure the dogs are cool,

enjoy the place,

feel free to take trash with you,

especially when the cans are full.
